The best ways to help your body get rid of impurities and to boost your overall health is through diet and exercise. There are many wonderful recipes and foods you can eat and try that will help give your body a much needed boost. Here is a really good recipe for what I like to call a boost salad for you to try at home to add a little healthy greenery to your diet with a little info on some of the amazing ingredients!

 

Cabbage: Very high vitamin C content.

Kale: Full of antioxidants and is very alkalizing.

Fresh parsley: Has a lot of chlorophyll which helps to alkalize the digestive system.

Raw carrots: Removes unhealthy bacteria from the gut.

Avocado: Loaded with healthy fats which help in absorbing fat-soluble nutrients.

Ginger:  Helps soothe upset stomachs and is a good boost for your immune system.

Lemon: Lemons are loaded with vitamin C and have detoxifying properties, particularly with your liver.

Garlic: Amazing for your respiratory system and is good for your heart.

Honey: Honey is a natural anti-bacterial.

Mustard: Reduces the risk of heart disease.

 

Ingredients for dressing:

  • ¾ cup of lemon juice
  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • 1 ½ tsp of grated ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp of raw honey
  • A pinch of salt and pepper
  • ½ tsp of Dijon mustard

 

 

Ingredients for salad:

  • 4 cups of shredded cabbage
  • 1 large shredded carrot
  • 1 handful of chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 handful of chopped kale
  • ½ of a sliced avocado

 

 

Add the salad ingredients into a large bowl and evenly distribute the dressing. Toss salad vigorously and serve. Enjoy a wholesome, healthy meal!
