Hello! My name is Jacqueline Rosenhek, welcome to my blog page! I am your typical twenty-something year old person who is just trying to keep some balance in my life, whether its with my physical health or emotional and mental health, balance has always been key for me. Growing up I began to realize that was the case for a lot of people. Everybody wants to be healthy and happy but I would be lying if I said it came easy for everyone…or anyone really.
I have been working in the plant medicine field for about four and a half years at this point, but I have been interested in plant life for much longer than that. Plants have been on this planet longer than any human has, they were some of our first sources of nourishment, some of our first commodities and some of our first sources of medicine. Unfortunately, many people have forgotten this. We currently live in an generation that is starting to become aware of the plastic bubble we have surrounded ourselves with, separating us from nature. We are becoming increasingly aware of what we put in our bodies, but many of us also grew up with unhealthy habits that are rooted either in ignorance or intimidation towards healthier lifestyles and the changes we need to make in order to achieve them. I am also pretty sure that one of the reasons many of us are nervous when it comes to approaching a healthier lifestyle is because we are afraid of being judged. We live in a society that has an unhealthy habit of comparing ourselves to one another which impedes on us actually trying to help each other and embrace each other’s uniqueness.
My goal with this blog is to try to reach out to you, the reader. I am not a health guru, I am not a fitness instructor, I am not perfect, I am like you. I am just another somebody who is doing what they can to maintain balance, moderation and in many cases sanity. I just happen to have a bit of knowledge that I really want to pass onto you. Maybe if I pass this info onto you, you can pass it onto someone else, and it will work like a domino effect and we can create a community of happy, healthy people helping each other.
